Our practitioners work within trauma-informed, strength-based, holistic principles to build capacity, resilience, and well-being.Join our Emergency Relief team in Sunshine Coast!The RoleAs an Emergency Relief Assessor, you will assess community member needs and determine appropriate financial assistance and referrals. This is a full-time position based on the Sunshine Coast.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct interviews and assessments for emergency relief with community members over the phone, following Doorways guidelines.Determine assistance in line with Doorways standards of practice.Assist community members in accessing support services through referrals and advocacy with service providers.Collaborate with the local mission delivery model and work with the Corps.You Must HaveDiploma level (preferred) or Certificate IV (minimum) qualification in a related field (e.g., Community Services).Experience in community services sector is desirable.Experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds is beneficial.Experience in fast-paced environments (contact centre) is highly regarded.Current and valid QLD Working with Childrens Check.Applications will close as soon as a suitable candidate is secured.The Salvation Army is an Equal Opportunity Employer that values diversity and inclusion.
