Specialist Technician Candidates - Technical Support to Schools Program Systems Engineer / Specialist Technician - TSSP / Education Sector Bytewize is seeking highly experienced IT professionals to fill contract and ongoing employment positions within our company. Successful candidates will be employed by Bytewize to provide ongoing technical support services to the Department of Education through the Technical Support to Schools Program (TSSP). Bytewize has been in business for over 25 years and is a long-standing panel member of the TSSP Program. Note: These are not entry-level positions. All candidates must have a minimum of 5 years industry experience, including previous experience within the TSSP program, extensive experience within the education sector, or equivalent corporate industry experience. The roles involve managing IT infrastructure within Department of Education schools, including administration of school network and server infrastructure and providing ICT support to staff and students in large ICT-based learning environments. Essential Technical Skills Manage and service Windows and Apple devices on an enterprise scale Administer and support Hyper-V virtualized server environments Administer various Windows and Linux servers Manage cloud-based services (Google and Microsoft) Administer Mobile Device Management (MDM) Enterprise network administration skills (Cisco and HP switches) Administer Cisco wireless networks, controllers, and access points Excellent communication skills Support enterprise volume desktop and notebook computers Experience in SOE and image deployment, with advanced troubleshooting skills Previous experience in educational settings or similar enterprise environments Knowledge of Department and TSSP initiatives Experience with planning and managing 1:1 and BYOD devices at an enterprise level Ability to plan and facilitate ICT professional development sessions Technical documentation writing skills Personal Attributes Motivated professionals capable of working independently or as part of a team Strong problem-solving skills and resourcefulness Punctual, reliable, and organized Excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for ICT Ability to follow technical documentation accurately Systematic troubleshooting and fault-finding skills Australian citizenship or permanent residency Valid drivers license and reliable vehicle Police and background checks required Remuneration and Benefits Pay rate based on skills and experience, with staff pay reviews Salary packages ranging from $90,000 to $110,000 (pro-rata for part-time) Options for ABN or TFN contracts Part-time and full-time roles available Additional benefits include a company vehicle, training, and development Application Process Apply via online job boards and also submit your application directly by email to employment@bytewize.com.au.
