Operations Manager - Darwin Greyhound Association The position is full time and employment is as a permanent employee. Greyhound racing in the Northern Territory takes place in Darwin and is hosted by the Darwin Greyhound Association. It is regulated and controlled by the NT Racing Commission. Races occur every Sunday evening and every second Wednesday evening, with up to 10 races per night. The racetrack is located at Winnellie Park, near the centre of Darwin. The Association is an incorporated entity with about 80 members and a Management Committee of 7 members elected at the Annual General Meeting, usually held in November, plus an independent member appointed by the NT Government. The Association employs an Operations Manager, Track Curator, Grounds Maintenance Gardener, part-time Admin Officer, and casual employees as needed. The current Operations Manager will resign and return to Queensland in late August 2025. Some Trainers operate from sites at Winnellie Park, while others work from private properties. The Association seeks a Manager with some knowledge of greyhound racing, experience working with a Committee and club members, strong organizational skills, good governance and compliance awareness, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
