Role: Director of People and Culture (Succession Planning)The Director of People and Culture is currently seeking a successor. The successful applicant will be a strong contender for this position within the next 2.5 to 3 years.Success in this role and future opportunities depend on your ability to manage your team and engage key stakeholders, building positive professional relationships through your expertise and communication skills.The RoleReporting to the Director of People and Culture, you will be a proactive and experienced P&C generalist with expertise in performance management, WHS, compliance, award interpretation, and reporting. This role provides leadership in these areas to a team of three.Key ResponsibilitiesManage a high-volume caseload of complex ER/IR matters, including investigations and case management.Develop responses and applications for matters before the Fair Work Commission as needed.Provide strategic advice on workplace relations, WHS, and performance management.Coach on ER, compliance, and WHS issues.Prepare bi-monthly foundation reports for the board.Manage and develop a team of three direct reports: HR/ER BP, P&C Coordinator, and WHS BP.Develop, review, and implement employment policies and procedures.Collaborate with the Director P&C and L&D BP to develop and deliver learning programs for managers.Oversee governance of groups like the Work Health and Safety and RAP Committee.Serve as the key P&C contact for the upcoming HRIS system.Monitor legislative changes affecting employment and recommend compliant responses.Essential Skills and ExperienceExtensive experience in senior ER/IR roles.Strong understanding of Australian employment law and Fair Work processes.Expertise in WHS and relevant legislative frameworks.Leadership experience managing complex employment issues.Excellent Excel skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively.Risk assessment skills aligned with the organisation''s risk appetite.Relevant tertiary qualifications are desirable; problem-solving and critical thinking are essential.Experience in dynamic, community-focused organisations, such as aged care, disability, youth, or housing, is preferred.Why This Role?Opportunities for career development and progression.Alignment with the organisation''s mission and values.Supportive and collaborative management.Positive team environment.Work from home one day per week.Location: Blacktown (with secure parking).Salary: $150k plus super.Potential salary packaging benefits.For confidential discussion, contact Emma Egan at 0434403425 or apply now. #J-18808-Ljbffr
