This is a varied role responsible for quoting, payments, invoicing and lodging of all patient services.Your Responsibilities Will Include (but Are Not Limited To)Facilitation of informed financial consent - including preparation of Fee estimates and consultation with patientsLiaising with and lodging claims to external bodies such as MedicareProcessing payments for invoices raisedDetailed note taking of all patient interactions in the appropriate systemsEnsuring all non-clinical patient finance questions are answered in an efficient mannerReferring and follow-up of any clinical queries with the appropriate departmentsResponding to phone queries, voicemail messages and inbox enquiriesQualificationsThis role will suit a good alrounder, someone who has solid administration experience and enjoys variety in their work. The patient finance team provides key support internally as well as to our patients, you must be someone who works collaboratively and really cares about what you do.To be successful you will have;Strong computer skills including competence in using Patient Administration systems (or the ability to quickly learn new systems)Working knowledge of Medicare processes and rules preferredExcellent customer service and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to organise and prioritise work effectively within a busy, and demanding environmentAvailable for team relief across a 5-day working week between the hours of 7am to 3:30pmStrong skills in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly ExcelA positive attitude and approach to work with a commitment to excellent service and accuracyAdditional InformationWorking for GeneaGenea is all about people, the team that you work with and the patients we are so passionate about providing the best possible outcomes to.
