We have experienced trainers, teachers and community providers offering qualification across a range of courses and customised skill set training covering multiple sectors relevant to the community and stakeholders.About the positionThis position reports to the Education Delivery Manager, Koorie Programs and Youth Education. The Senior Secondary Wellbeing and Engagement Coordinator will provide support and leadership in promoting the social and emotional wellbeing of Senior Secondary students at SuniTAFE. This position aims to foster a supportive and inclusive educational environment that enhances students'' ability to achieve personal and academic success.Key ResponsibilitiesWellbeing and Engagement Support:Provide proactive and reactive wellbeing services, including mentoring and crisis intervention.Identify and address student concerns, connecting students to appropriate internal or external support services.Deliver programs and initiatives to promote engagement, resilience and personal development.Manage engagement programs including transport and breakfast programs provided to Senior Secondary students.Leadership and Collaboration:Lead wellbeing initiatives and work collaboratively with teaching staff to integrate wellbeing strategies into the curriculum.Support the professional development of staff in student wellbeing practices and awareness.Collaborate with external agencies and organisations to ensure comprehensive support for students.Policy and Compliance:Develop, implement, and monitor engagement and wellbeing policies and procedures.Maintain accurate records of student interactions while adhering to privacy and confidentiality standards.Ensure compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements in the education sector.Key Selection Criteria-Minimum five years experience working with youth including behavioural intervention and incident management preferably in an educational or youth focussed environment.-Demonstrated excellence in customer service including the ability to relate well to people at all levels in order to obtain relevant and necessary information and successfully effect change.-Proven communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to build strong client relationships in a professional manner and interact effectively with a diverse range of people.-Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and to work effectively with staff across all aspects of the Institutes operations.-Demonstrated experience working independently with a track record of successfully managing tasks and projects without direct supervision.-Knowledge of National Privacy Laws, Equal Opportunity legislation and the Disability Discrimination Act.Please review the full Position Description to ensure suitable for the position.For further information please contact Lara Collins, Education Delivery Manager - Koorie Programs and Youth Education via telephone on 03 5022 3692 or email lcollins@sunitafe.edu.auThe successful candidate will be required to provide:- A successful criminal record check which is less than 6 months old; and- A working with children checkThis position is open to Australian residents or those with current working rights in Australia only.This position will remain open until Sunday 1 June 2025How do your skills match this job?How do your skills match this job?Sign in and update your profile to get insights.To help fast track investigation, please include here any other relevant details that prompted you to report this job ad as fraudulent / misleading / discriminatory.Featured jobsBusiness Manager - NDIS - MilduraConnecting2Ability8d agoRecruitment Consultant1d agoFarmhand9d agoWhat can I earn as an Engagement Coordinator #J-18808-Ljbffr
