The role Our HUB24 Group Data Analytics team is expanding, and we''re looking for a talented Data Analyst to join us on this exciting growth journey. The Data Analyst will be part of a function dedicated to building a deep understanding of HUB24s data landscape, enabling the efficient development of analytics solutions that support the business in achieving its goals and objectives. You will work closely with the business to understand its goals, challenges, and processes, and design analytical solutions that drive measurable improvements in performance. A key part of your role will be building strong partnerships with stakeholders, allowing you to be part of strategic decisions during project planning and development. Your insights will help ensure analytics solutions are effectively adopted and make a meaningful impact. This role is based in Sydney. Key responsibilities Data Analytics Engineering Identify Business needs where data analytics can assist in the solution to the problem or need. Be part of a team that designs and develops analytics solutions that are mature, reliable and scalable. Deliver insights which are objective and actionable for the business. Utilise advanced techniques to analyse and model data to develop mature solutions that drive meaningful change in the business. Collaboration with DS&A Team Be a key contact point between the broader DS&A team and the business. Develop end-to-end program waypoints in collaboration with other sub-teams such as Data Development and Data Visualisation. Ensure programs are accountable for resourcing, technical, and scheduling requirements, and communicate this back to stakeholders. Business Partnering Meet with key stakeholders to understand needs and priorities. Identify and develop data assets to support key client opportunities and provide commercial advice. Support initiatives through detailed analysis and insights to improve decision-making and execution. Key requirements Bachelors degree in Data Science, Mathematics, or related field, with strong knowledge of advanced statistical techniques. Background in Financial Services and/or Data Analytics Consulting. Proficient in SQL and Python. Proven analytical thinking, solution design, and problem-solving skills. Experience applying advanced statistical modelling to deliver measurable outcomes. Strong communication skills to convey complex ideas clearly. High-quality work with a commercial focus, attention to detail, and a mindset for continuous improvement. Adaptable, able to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Desirable but not mandatory: Experience with Power BI, Data Bricks, and DBT. Experience in Customer, Marketing, Operations, and Process Optimisation using data analytics.
