Senior Project Officer - National Action PlansJoin to apply for the Senior Project Officer - National Action Plans role at Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action.This is a great opportunity to utilize your skills and knowledge of biosecurity, work with biosecurity professionals across Australia, and enhance your communication and stakeholder engagement skills.The Preparedness, Surveillance and Response team within the Chief Plant Health Office Branch is seeking a dedicated individual to develop the National Action Plan for Pests of Horticultural Crops further.Key ResponsibilitiesReview Australia''s preparedness to respond to specific National Priority Plant Pests (NPPP).Plan improvements to Australia''s detection, prevention, and response capabilities for these pests.Assess outcomes from national workshops and meetings with industry, community, and government stakeholders in the horticulture sector.Coordinate and prepare for a national workshop involving relevant stakeholders.Draft the plan following provided templates.Qualifications and ExpertiseA degree or relevant training and experience in horticulture, science, emergency management, or related fields.Experience or training in biosecurity emergency preparedness or response is advantageous.This is a fixed-term position until 13 February 2026, based in Attwood with hybrid work options.
