About the Role:Our client, a reputable State Government department, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Executive and Parliamentary Services to provide strategic support and advice on complex and sensitive matters. This senior role plays a critical part in ensuring high priority issues are addressed efficiently, effectively, and in alignment with the departments strategic objectives.As the Director, you will be at the heart of a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You will be expected to demonstrate discretion and sound judgment in managing confidential and sensitive matters while collaborating with key stakeholders across various sectors, including public and private organisations, Parliament, and the departments internal teams.Key Responsibilities:In this role, you will:Provide strategic and procedural advice to Members and facilitate processes related to the 42nd Parliament.Contribute to the preparation of incoming briefings for Parliamentary Committees.Monitor and analyse the sector, particularly Hansard and Parliamentary committee reports.Offer tailored advice and insights to help navigate the department''s engagement with Parliament and stakeholders.Assist in managing evolving expectations and adhere to parliamentary protocols.Liaise with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and engagement on high-priority issues.Maintain a keen awareness of the departments strategic plan and objectives, ensuring alignment with the business units day-to-day operations.Required Skills and Experience:To succeed in this role, you will have:Extensive experience providing high-level strategic and procedural advice within a public sector or parliamentary environment.Strong understanding of parliamentary processes, including committee work and sector monitoring (especially Hansard).Proven ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and collaborate with executives, senior representatives, and external stakeholders.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.Demonstrated ability to influence and negotiate effectively across diverse groups.Apply:If this sounds like the role for you, please hit Apply Now to upload your resume.
