We provide a comprehensive range of cost-effective legal services, adding value to Council''s core business and major projects.The RoleProvide high quality, specialised, professional legal advice on a range of complex infrastructure, policy and planning issues. Your high level professional legal knowledge and experience will provide efficient and effective value for money legal solutions, as well as support the Legal Counsel, Planning and Environment.You will be required to prepare and provide specialist legal advice and documentation on complex planning and infrastructure matters such as planning legislation, the planning instruments, priority infrastructure plans, infrastructure agreements, infrastructure charges and commercial matters. This role is crucial to respond to business demand for policy and strategic direction in planning and development.To be successful you must:be admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland and hold a current Practicing Certificate from the Queensland Law Societyhave extensive knowledge and experience in planning law and infrastructure related mattershave demonstrated significant experience in the drafting of complex legal documents, prior experience in drafting infrastructure agreements is crucialhave demonstrated experience providing specialist legal advice on planning matters including development applications and the drafting of planning instrumentshave demonstrated experience in negotiating complex legal outcomes, to achieve organisational objectiveshave highly developed communication, organisational and prioritisation skills to manage conflicting deadlines and a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively on complex matters.Benefits of working for Council include:flexible working hours, and flexible arrangementsfree gym and wellness centreaward winning superannuation fundgenerous leave provisionscompetitive salary.Benefits of working for Council: CLICK HEREHow to apply: Click on the ''Im interested'' button to complete your online application.
