Learn more at Job Function & Category Legal & Compliance Health Care Compliance Professional Locations North Ryde, New South Wales, Australia, Singapore Job Description The Director of IM R&D and Enterprise R&D APAC is a key member of the HealthCare Compliance (HCC) IM team, reporting directly to the HCC Global Lead for IM R&D and Enterprise R&D. You will oversee the HCC/HCBI program within R&D for Innovative Medicines in the APAC region and for Enterprise Innovation teams, including Innovation Centers, JLabs, and JJDC. You will lead a team of senior managers and other roles, establishing strategic direction and developing compliance programs tailored to these organizations. You will act as an internal expert for senior leaders, mitigating risks and supporting business initiatives. This role promotes collaboration, consistency, and simplification across APAC and represents the organization in global projects. Key Responsibilities Create and drive strategy for HCC/HCBI programs in APAC based on business models and risk profiles. Build and maintain effective compliance programs ensuring adherence to laws, regulations, and industry standards, including anti-corruption, off-label promotion, and false claims statutes. Support new business models and growth strategies, advising on strategic compliance changes. Engage with APAC leadership to ensure governance and risk management. Participate in the IM R&D APAC Leadership team for strategy and initiative development. Provide expertise on risks related to interactions with government officials, patient engagement, and third parties. Represent the HCC IM R&D organization in global initiatives and projects. Oversee HCC/HCBI policies, training, and communication in APAC. Partner with global teams on testing, monitoring, and corrective actions. Coordinate with legal counsel on HCC requirements and issues. Respond to misconduct reports, conduct investigations, and advise on compliance risks. Manage and develop the HCC IM R&D APAC team, establishing goals and ensuring performance management. Qualifications BA/BS required. At least 10 years of business experience with management and supervisory roles. Minimum 5 years in HCC or related compliance functions, with leadership experience. Strong knowledge of international and local HCC laws, FDA practices, FCPA, and industry standards. Proven ability to lead teams supporting global functions and influence senior leaders. Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills. Self-starter with the ability to manage complexity and deliver results. Preferred Qualifications Experience in multiple sectors or global businesses. Certifications like CCEP or CHC preferred. Knowledge of healthcare commercial practices and associated risks.
