Join to apply for theDirector - Investments Teamrole atQueensland Treasury CorporationDescriptionQTC''s Advisory Division is seeking a seasoned commercial transactions and investment professional to join our Investment Team.The Investments team is part of the Economic Portfolios (EP) group within the Advisory Division and works closely with the central agencies (Queensland Treasury, Premiers and State Development departments) to provide corporate finance, financial due diligence, and commercial transaction advice for a range of government investments.This includes work across various sectors, collaborating with central agency clients to create better financial and economic outcomes for Queensland. The team offers a commercial perspective that complements and enhances their internal knowledge with our industry and technical expertise.As a Director within the Investment Team, you will lead a team of six professionals, oversee multi-disciplinary EP project teams, ensure successful project delivery, develop key client relationships, engage with stakeholders, and achieve Group and Divisional KPIs. You will also identify new opportunities and develop team capabilities.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic and commercial leadership:Lead the technical and commercial aspects of priority transaction advisory and investment due diligence assignments for government.Project Oversight:Oversee project execution, ensuring high-quality advice to support priority investments and contractual completion.Client Relationships:Build and maintain relationships with officers and executives within client groups.Stakeholder Engagement:Lead engagement with key stakeholders on complex assignments.Leadership and Mentorship:Provide leadership, communicate effectively, and mentor team members and other leaders within the EP Group and project teams.Executive Support:Support the Executive Director and perform other relevant duties.What We Are Looking ForDeep experience in corporate finance and commercial transactions, including financial modelling, due diligence, and structuring.Relevant hands-on experience navigating complex client/project challenges.Ability to create and articulate investment rationales, including capital structures and risk mitigation strategies.Proven leadership in transaction management, due diligence, and capital structuring for large deals.Excellent communication skills to deliver complex advice clearly, both verbally and in reports.Understanding of capital market dynamics relevant to projects and investments.In-depth knowledge of private sector investment decision-making processes.Comprehensive understanding of project financing and investment instruments, including risk allocation and operational issues.Tertiary qualification in Finance, Economics, or related discipline.If you meet these criteria and are excited about contributing to our team, please submit your resume and cover letter through our SEEK ad.
