You will be responsible for managing network incidents, conducting investigations, performing condition monitoring, and reporting on network performance. This position requires a proactive approach to incident management, ensuring rapid response and effective resolution to minimise disruptions and ensure network stability.Key Duties:Management of Network Incidents:Identify, analyse, prioritise, and manage network incidents to mitigate risks and restore network functionality efficiently.Major Incident Coordination : Coordinate responses to major incidents such as plant failures and post-natural disaster rectifications to restore normal operations promptly.Incident Investigation and Risk Management:Conduct thorough incident investigations, assess risks agilely, and manage network issues considering safety, security, financial, and customer implications.Remote Maintenance and Fault Rectification:Perform remote maintenance checks, rectify faults, and implement operational changes to maximise equipment effectiveness and operational efficiency.Network Preparedness:Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance network preparedness for contingencies and minimise potential impacts.Data Gathering and Analysis: Collect data from Intelligent Electronic Devices (IEDs) for analysis, monitoring trends, and investigating issues to ensure optimal network operation.Performance Reporting:Assist with the preparation and delivery of network performance reports to internal and external stakeholders, complying with regulatory and business requirements.This role demands strong analytical skills, technical proficiency in network operations, and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders. As a Fault Management Analyst, you play a crucial role in maintaining the reliability and resilience of Powerlink''s critical infrastructure networks.The people you''ll join:Based in ourBrisbane, Virginia office , this role joins a collaborative team of Fault Management Analysts, Network Incident Management specialists, Network Performance Analysts, and Development Engineers. After completion of training, you will participate inafter hourson-call rotations every four weeks , alternating between primary and backup roles to ensure continuous network effectiveness.What you''ll bring:Degree qualifications in Electrical Engineering, orAdvanced/Associate Diploma in Electrical Engineering coupled with significant experienceThe successful candidate demonstrates advanced cognitive analysis skills, effectively achieving business outcomes within specified timelines. Their proficiency includes analysing data, identifying critical issues, and synthesising information to make objective comparisons. Additionally, they have a solid understanding of commercial aspects, legal liabilities, and regulatory obligations pertinent to Powerlink. They bring expertise in the electricity supply industry, with a focus on substation maintenance, operations, and the operation of electricity transmission and operational technology networks. They possess a strong working knowledge of electricity transmission network plant and associated equipment maintenance, along with expertise in high voltage plant, secondary systems, and communications equipment.Wed also love you to have:You will ideally have extensive knowledge of operational risk and incident management in electricity transmission and operational technology networks. They have a strong track record of collaborative work within technical teams to deliver efficient services to customers. Proficient in SAP, EMS systems, and other asset management tools, they effectively meet performance goals and responsibilities within team settings. They excel in persuading others to accept ideas and concepts and consistently perform well under pressure to meet deadlines and commitments.
