Competitive Salary + Local Living AllowanceKBSS is an award-winning business supplying specialised support and maintenance services to the Oil & Gas, Mining, and Marine Sectors, based in the Pilbara WA.About the RoleThe Superintendent Mining & Infrastructure is responsible for overseeing and assisting all KBSS project operations at Rio Tinto''s Dampier sites, to ensure its safe, effective, and efficient delivery. This will involve planning, preparing, coordinating labour and liaising with key stakeholders.Reporting to the General Manager - Operations and leading a diverse team you will:Manage the performance of all KBSS labour and subcontractors on KBSS scopes at Rio Tinto''s Dampier sites.Identify and evaluate on project risks and provide contingencies to be allowed for in the execution of our worksAssist in the preparation of quotes and tenders, as well as meeting with key stakeholders to ensure a good client relationshipForward planning of works and scheduling of new projectsLiaising with the Supervisors and the Mobilisations team to ensure crews are ready for the jobsDemonstrate and instill an overriding commitment to health, safety, environment responsibility and sustainable development.About YouYou will be able to demonstrate your successes leading diverse teams to deliver exceptional safety and operational results, as well as have:A strong understanding of the responsibilities of the Superintendent position, with experience in risk management.Experience working in the Mining & Energy Projects fieldExcellent communication skills, verbal and written, along with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and set direction.Exposure to all levels of organisation, and the ability to develop strong professional relationships with multiple functions and stakeholders, including senior leadership (internal and external).A demonstrated action-oriented working and leadership style, reliable with high attention to detail and a positive attitude.Ability to meet strict deadlines and work under pressure.Essential CriteriaMinimum 3 years Superintendent experience in the field or equivalent role.Strong HSE awareness and ability to foster a positive safety cultureRight to Work in AustraliaCurrent Drivers LicenceConstruction White or Blue CardCurrent Police Check or be willing to obtainAll applicants are required to pass a full pre-employment medical as well as regular and ongoing drug and alcohol testing.Please note that this role is based in Karratha, WA.
