The CEO provides visible, value-driven leadership for HRSA and the harness racing industry statewide. Working closely with the Chair and Board of Directors, you will be responsible for setting and executing the organisations strategic direction, managing day-to-day operations, and fostering strong relationships with stakeholders, industry partners, and the broader community. You will champion integrity, animal welfare, and industry standards, ensuring HRSA continues its record of success and sustainability. This is a full-time contract position offered for a minimum of five years. Due to the nature of the facility and industry operations, the role will require after-hours and weekend work to accommodate the delivery of racing events and support for other venue activities. Remuneration & Relocation A competitive remuneration package, commensurate with the skills and experience of the successful candidate, will be negotiated. For candidates residing outside South Australia, relocation support will be considered as part of the overall package. What Were Looking For Extensive executive leadership experience, ideally in the racing or sporting sector. Strong commercial acumen, with proven experience in financial management, stakeholder engagement, and governance. Demonstrated ability to lead high-performing teams, drive innovation, and deliver strategic outcomes. Outstanding communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. A commitment to upholding the highest standards of integrity, animal welfare, and ethical conduct. A formal qualification in business, finance, marketing, or a related field is required.
