Administration Gold Coast Part Time Icon Cancer Centre AustraliaKey Points:Friendly and Supportive Team EnvironmentPermanent Part-Time Position (45hr fortnight)Monday Friday location shifts between our opening hours of 7.30am 5pm daily.Learn about our Southport centre here: the role:We have an opportunity for a Patient Admissions/Reception Officer to join our Southport centre. This position is to manage the collection and verification of patient information effectively and efficiently for timely referral to Medical Specialist and admission to the centre. Working in a part-time capacity 45hours/fortnight, Monday to Friday within the operating hours. This role will report to the Administration Manager.Key Responsibilities:Creating new treatment plans and hard charts for clinicsGreeting patients and visitors at reception ensuring they are received in a professional, efficient and friendly mannerFacilitate the Patient Admission and Discharge procedures/paperworkPerforming health fund checks upon patient arrival, discussing any costs / gap payments / co-paymentsEnsuring patients details are checked and updated on a regular basisEnsuring that patients arrivals are marked and manage wait room functions for both medical practice and day hospital as neededSchedule further appointmentsEnsure accurate collection of new patient informationConfirm financial responsibility for all admissionsLiaise with health insurance fund customer service personnel to verify health insurance statusCommunicate clearly with patients and their families to ensure all patients are well informed of financial costs related to admissionsSkills & Experience:Administration or Medical Receptionist Qualification12 months relevant professional medical / hospital reception experience requiring current knowledge and understanding of health insurance fundsExceptional communication and customer service skillsProfessional, efficient and friendly manner both over-the-phone and face-to-faceOutstanding team member qualities including willing to support your colleagues and positive attitudeExperience with Medicare DVA and Private Health.Excellent organisational and time management skills.Ability to work in fast-paced environmentFlexibility and adaptability to complete various administration tasks across Medical Oncology and Radiation Oncology unitsAbility to work efficiently with attention to detailProficient use of Microsoft OutlookAbout UsIcon Group is Australias largest dedicated cancer care provider and has expanded globally into Singapore, Mainland China, Hong Kong and New Zealand.
