We focus on understanding the unique needs of our consumers and carers, working across community, hospital, and prison settings to advance your skills and career.Job LocationBased at Ravenhall Correctional Centre in Melbourne''s west, this role supports 75 prison-based custodial mental health beds and outpatient services within a maximum-security forensic mental health complex.About the RoleAs a Ward Clerk within Prison Services Forensic Mental Health, based on the Erskine Unit at Ravenhall, you will provide administrative support to multidisciplinary teams. You will work under the guidance of the Program/Unit Manager, with support from the Health Information Manager.Key DutiesEfficiently manage patient health records and information, complying with policies and guidelines.Assist with patient registration, admission, and discharge processes, ensuring accurate data entry in CMI/RAPID.Maintain patient lists and ensure documentation for admissions, transfers, and separations is completed promptly.Manage the medical record tracking system and request medical records as needed.Attend and document unit meetings, distributing minutes post-approval.Scan forms and reports into JCare as required.Enter data into CMI/RAPID with high accuracy.Required Skills and QualificationsExperience providing administrative assistance in health or mental health settings.Knowledge of medical terminology.Working knowledge of RAPID (mental health database).Proficiency in Microsoft Office.Strong organizational and time management skills.Ability to interact professionally and sensitively with patients.Additional InformationApplications are reviewed as received, and the position may close earlier than advertised.
