The major functions performed by Vinnies Transport are the collection, sorting, storage and distribution of donations. The role of the Driver is to collect donated goods from public homes, business and SVDP donation bins and deliver them to the target location, as well as to load and unload the goods. The Driver is also expected to have a total commitment to safe operating practices at all times and high levels of customer service with all contacts.Your responsibilitiesAs the Driver, your responsibilities will include:Driving in a safe, courteous and timely mannerSupervising the JockeyCollecting and delivering donations from private homes, corporations and donation bins as directed by the Team LeaderLoading and unloading as per safe work practicesCompleting a daily vehicle checklistAbout youTo be successful in this role, we need you to:Have a valid MR driving licenseCan easily travel to and from BallaratPass a Medical TestBe able to fulfil the physical requirements of the role outlined in the Position Description (including lifting, carrying, pushing, etc.)Right to work in AustraliaA background in commercial driving is preferable but not essentialWhy work for us?
