For more information, visit www.greystar.com.JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARYBased onsite at our new luxury build-to-rent apartments in Melbourne, you will work as part of a close-knit onsite community team, providing vital support to create an exceptional resident experience. This hands-on role involves performing reactive, scheduled, and statutory maintenance to both the interior and exterior of the property, as well as common areas.The onsite team works a rotating roster, 5 days per week, 7.6-hour shifts between Monday and Sunday, with start times alternating at 8 am or 11 am.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Diagnosing and repairing maintenance issues in accordance with policies, codes, and safety standards.Preparing vacant units for new residents by conducting inspections and necessary repairs.Maintaining community cleanliness and appearance to uphold Greystar''s high standards.Overseeing work by contractors, vendors, and service providers to ensure quality and compliance.Managing maintenance supplies and inventory.Performing routine safety inspections and preventative maintenance.Maintaining statutory testing records, including annual checks and routine testing of emergency lighting, fire alarms, and other safety systems.Providing excellent customer service and responding to after-hours emergency calls.REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:Relevant licenses/certifications as per Federal, State, and Local requirements; valid drivers license.Experience in building maintenance, residential properties, or related trades.Qualifications or experience in electrical, mechanical engineering, plumbing, or HVAC are highly regarded.Physical ability to carry up to 12 kg, climb ladders, and perform bending, sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods.Knowledge of health and safety risks, including manual handling, site safety, chemicals, and trip hazards.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management.Effective communication and teamwork skills.Friendly, professional, and courteous attitude towards residents and colleagues.Ability to obtain a favourable National Criminal History Check and Working with Children check.Greystar is committed to diversity and inclusion.
