We seek experienced child protection Caseworkers with excellent analytical, assessment, and communication skills.Applicants must demonstrate strong attention to detail, highly developed critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and excellent interpersonal and self-management skills.A day in the life of a JCPR Child Protection CaseworkerWhile no two days are the same, responsibilities include:Undertaking assessments to identify and address safety and risk concerns for children and young people within a multi-disciplinary programEngaging in collaborative, child-focused practice that respects each child''s culture and contextSourcing timely, accurate, and comprehensive information to make evidence-based decisions regarding safety, welfare, and wellbeingModeling ethical and responsive casework adaptable to changing needsBuilding relationships within the program, practice, and legislative frameworks to promote positive changeDeveloping and maintaining networks with partner agencies and stakeholders for holistic service deliveryParticipating in continuous learning and professional developmentMaintaining accurate client records for reporting and sharing informationHaving difficult conversations to mitigate risks and enhance safetyInitiating actions in the Childrens Court when necessaryWhat Were Looking ForWorking with vulnerable children, young people, and families can be challenging and rewarding.
