You will play a pivotal role in upholding these Values and contributing to our collective success.About the role:We have a rare and exciting opportunity to join the Northern Star open pit Mobile Maintenance Team as a Maintenance Coordinator working at the iconic KGCM Superpit. Promising a long-term and fulfilling future, join our esteemed Open Pits Maintenance team on a family-friendly residential roster of 8:6, 12-hour days, working less than 10 minutes from home or FIFO from Perth.Heres what awaits you:Provide intervention and guidance on breakdown and planned works, minimising machine downtime for Open Pits operations.Liaise with vendors for component repairs and organise direct hiring of contractors for tasks on site.Review mobile fleet daily machine down reports and reconcile downtime, failure modes, and department codes on fleet management platform for accurate data collection on machine reliability and breakdowns.Track and monitor performance and key time statistics of the mobile maintenance team, identifying areas for improvement.Complete safety interactions and Critical Control Verifications (CCVs) with all mobile maintenance work groups.Support investigations and drive corrective actions.To thrive in this role, youll need:Qualifications:Mechanical Trade or Engineering qualificationFormal Leadership and Supervisory Training (Desirable)Current Unencumbered Western Australian C Class Drivers LicenceExperience:A minimum of ten (10) years of mechanical maintenance experience, including at least five (5) years in a supervisory role in a similar-sized operation.Strong leadership experience with the ability to engage and empower large teams.Experience in performance management of team members, with the ability to coach, mentor, and empower others.Excellent computer literacy with ability to use integrated management systems, Microsoft Office suite, INX, and Pronto.Strong understanding of maintenance work management processes.Passion for Growth: A strong desire to drive accountability within the KCGM maintenance team and contractors to deliver optimal support to the mining team through direct field leadership and engagement, contributing to Northern Star''s dynamic work environment.Discover the perks of working at Northern StarCompany-subsidised GU Health Insurance.Gold Price Variable bonus incentive.Short-term incentive bonus program.Employee Share Plan programs.Gold standard parental leave policy.GoldSTARR rewards program - cash savings for everyday expenses.Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) including free, confidential counselling and wellbeing services.Salary continuance (income protection) insurance from commencement.Salary sacrificing benefits, including novated leasing and remote area living benefit options.Eligibility:Candidates must meet our pre-employment criteria, which includes a medical, drug and alcohol screening, relevant right to work, and a valid Australian national police clearance.Northern Star is an equal opportunity employer committed to achieving a diverse and inclusive workforce.
