Our mission is to deliver safe, accurate, and efficient solutions that help builders, engineers, councils, and facility managers make informed decisions. Using advanced Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) and other field tools, we help our clients locate embedded services and cut or drill with confidence. Were now looking for a dependable Field Technician to join our close-knit team.Role DescriptionAs a Concrete Scanning / Underground Utility Locating Technician, youll be responsible for conducting site visits, performing scans and service locating, marking up findings, and preparing reports. Youll work closely with our clients and internal teams to deliver results that are safe, accurate, and timely.Full training is provided if youre new to scanning or locating but prior construction or trade experience is highly regarded.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform concrete scanning using GPR to locate embedded materials such as pipes, rebars, and conduits.Conduct underground utility locating.Interpret data and mark findings accurately on-site.Capture and organize field data.Communicate with clients and site supervisors professionally.Maintain assigned equipment for the continuity of quality services.Support coring and chasing works where required.What Were Looking ForWhite Card (Construction Induction Card) requiredValid Australian drivers license and reliable transportComfortable working independently across Greater Melbourne and surrounding suburbsTech-savvy able to operate scanners, tablets, and cloud toolsStrong attention to detail, reporting, and client interactionPhysically fit for site-based workBonus: experience in concrete scanning, service locating, or construction tradesWhat We OfferSuperannuationPaid training and upskillingAll required tools, PPE, and equipment suppliedSupportive work environment with career growth opportunitiesMinimal paperwork cloud-based job tracking and reportingHow to ApplyApply now with your resume and a cover letter telling us why youd be a great fit, specifically answering the following questions:Do you currently hold a valid White Card (Construction Induction Card)?Do you currently have a Working with Children Check (WWCC) valid in Victoria?Do you have a valid Australian drivers license and access to a reliable vehicle for work-related travel when required?Are you legally entitled to work full-time in Australia without restriction?What is your current employment status, and what is your notice period or earliest available start date?Can you name any project management or data platforms youve used before (e.g., Fieldwire, Procore, SimPro, Autodesk Build)?What were you using them for specifically?Are you confident working within a structured cloud-based reporting workflow (e.g., downloading field data, organizing photos and notes, preparing reports for clients)?How would you approach executing these tasks effectively?Have you ever been responsible for coordinating or documenting project progress between field and office teams?If yes, please describe the process and tools you used.Can you give an example of a time you noticed a mistake in someone elses work and had to address or correct it professionally?This role requires proactive follow-up and timely report submissions.
