Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience talk with your recruiter to learn more.Base pay rangeA$94,563.00/yr - A$105,910.00/yrPosition OverviewThe Executive Assistant provides high-level executive and administrative support to the Chief Justice of the Federal Court of Australia. The Executive Assistant works as a part of a small team within Chambers, and is responsible for the efficient and effective organisation of the Chief Justices commitments and responsibilities. The Executive Assistant is a contact point for external stakeholders.Major ActivitiesProvide high-level executive support to the Chief Justice in the administration of the Federal Court of Australia.Coordination of the Chief Justices attendance at meetings, conferences and external events, including preparation of briefings, meeting agendas and speaking notes.Attend meetings with and on behalf of the Chief Justice to take notes and manage actions.Complex diary management, including liaising with external parties, judges and senior management.Extensive international and domestic travel arrangements.Support the Chief Justice with her work on judicial committees by preparing agendas, collating papers, and following up on action items.Assist in coordinating judicial projects, including research initiatives, policy reviews, and stakeholder consultations.Manage emails, memoranda and other chambers correspondence, including producing well drafted correspondence.Act as a point of contact in chambers for the Chief Justice, other judges, registrars, other court staff, legal representatives, parties and other court users.Demonstrate professionalism, tact and discretion, including the ability to appropriately handle confidential and sensitive information.When required, be available outside normal work hours and to travel interstate, generally to other registries of the Court.This position is one which will require the successful candidate to be present in chambers during the working day. There may be opportunities to work from home occasionally, but it is primarily an in-office position.To undertake this role the successful candidate must have:excellent interpersonal and communication skillsthe initiative to work autonomously and take responsibility for progressing work, whilst working collaboratively and harmoniously within the chambers environmentstrong IT skills, the ability to use legal databases, Microsoft applications and Adobe, and the ability to quickly learn how to use the courts IT systemsexcellent organisation, prioritisation and time management skillswell-developed problem-solving skills, including an ability to effectively multitask and work efficientlyattention to detail and accuracythe ability to effectively manage large volumes of information, including dealing appropriately with confidential and sensitive information.Formal QualificationsFormal qualifications are not a mandatory requirement.
