Lead complex Building construction projects in DarwinJoin a successful construction company with a great cultureLong-term opportunity with a strong pipeline of projectsLead complex Building construction projects with a successful local company in Darwin!Your new companyOur client, a local Building company specialising in the delivery of Commercial and Government construction projects, is recruiting for 2 talented Project Managers to join their team. One role is based in Darwin while the second role is a FIFO position (3 weeks on / 1 week off) to a remote area of the Northern Territory.Your new roleYou will be responsible for managing the delivery of projects to ensure completion in accordance with the Client''s requirements. You will be the point of contact for the client and represent the company in all dealings. Projects include medium-scale Commercial and Government new builds, renovations, and fit-out works, located in Darwin.Your key responsibilities will be:Liaise with and advise clients on project feasibility and project delivery methodologies.Develop a detailed brief in conjunction with the client and develop a project plan including scope, budget, schedule, and risk items.Tender, procure and manage suitable subcontractors to undertake any necessary works.Liaise with relevant statutory bodies as required to obtain advice or approval for project works including any planning or building approvals.Oversee the construction team during construction stage to ensure progress meets the design intent, project plan and client expectations, and provide support relating to the design and construction interface.Monitor project delivery and report to the client and project stakeholders on project progress including issues on scope, program, budget and variation or change.What you''ll need to succeedTo be successful in this role you will have:Significant experience in Project Management or Site Management roles working on Commercial Building projects.Trade qualification / background in Construction is desirable.Demonstrated experience in handling the design phase of projects and ability to read drawings.Demonstrated experience in creating work schedules.Demonstrated experience in engaging and managing subcontractors.Experience using Project Management software is desirable.What you''ll get in returnYou will join a highly skilled and collaborative team in a successful local construction company with a great culture.
