About The Role As the Account Manager for our Toowoomba area, your primary focus is balancing the best interests of the business and the client to create an exceptional customer experience and identify new business opportunities. You understand that teamwork is essential. Collaborating with the Sales Team, you will promote a culture of working smarter through innovation, continuous improvement, and efficiencies. Responsibilities Include Identifying, understanding, and developing customer relationships and market offers to meet current and potential needs. Maintaining extensive market knowledge, including competitors, suppliers, industry trends, and products, along with customer-specific forecast materials. Monitoring customer service standards through regular review meetings with selected customers to achieve mutual objectives. Providing exceptional customer service, including timely quotations and responses. Facilitating development opportunities for internal sales staff, such as attending sales visits, buddying, and providing feedback. Preparing sales forecasts and tracking actual volumes against forecasts. Reviewing SAP reports and monitoring performance against budgets, taking corrective actions as needed. You should be proactive, engaging, customer-focused, and capable of operating autonomously with integrity. You Will Also Have Proven sales experience in steel, construction, or manufacturing industries is preferred but not essential. Strong networking skills and ability to build customer connections. Effective time management and communication skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, SAP, and CRM systems. Systematic problem-solving skills, establishing root causes and continuous improvement. High standards for safety, quality, ethics, and fairness. Track record of achieving revenue and volume KPIs. Financial and business acumen, including high numeracy skills. Valid drivers license.
