About the PositionBushfire and Forest Services (BFS) plays a critical role in managing 3.2 million hectares of State forest across Victoria. This includes maintaining recreation assets, supporting tourism, delivering forest health initiatives, and leading DEECAs work in preparing for and responding to bushfires and other emergencies on public land, helping to reduce risk to people, property and the environment.BFS provides expert advice to the government on forest and fire management and acts as one of DEECAs key regional touchpoints. It ensures that policies and programs are grounded in local knowledge and meet the needs of Victorian communities.In 2026, BFS is offering seven Science Graduate roles across multiple teams.
