About the RoleAs our Media Manager, youll be at the heart of how the SUNS connect with fans, partners, and the wider public. Youll work closely with players, coaches, executives, and media outlets to ensure our message is authentic, engaging, and on pointwhether its a press conference, a breaking news story, or a behind-the-scenes moment on game day.This role is key to delivering on our club values, building our brand, and ensuring consistency in everything we say and share. Key ResponsibilitiesLead day-to-day media operations, press events, interview coordination, and media strategy execution.Build strong, proactive relationships with media partners to drive meaningful coverage of our people and programs.Be the go-to advisor for players, coaches, and execsprepping them for media engagements and supporting them with messaging and media training.Guide and support the media team, including our expanding AFLW operations, while managing match-day broadcast and media responsibilities.Partner with internal departments to identify and share great stories, successes, and initiatives with the public.Monitor media coverage, manage sensitive issues with discretion, and report regularly to senior leadership.Foster a high-performance team culture and mentor junior staff and interns.What Were Looking ForYoure not just media-savvyyoure media-driven. You have the experience, judgment, and energy to thrive in a fast-paced, high-profile environment. You know the AFL media landscape, and youve worked in or around elite sport.
