You''ll be the driving force behind daily operations, team leadership, customer service excellence, and business performance. If youre a proactive, hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, this is your opportunity to be part of something special.What Youll DoStore Operations & Sales PerformanceManage day-to-day store operations including inventory, merchandising, and loss prevention.Implement strategies to boost sales and profitability.Monitor KPIs and ensure targets are met.Ensure full compliance with safety, health, and operational standards.Manage product selection, inventory levels, and sales displays.Drive in-store promotions and product upselling.Customer ExperienceChampion exceptional customer service across the team.Resolve inquiries and complaints with professionalism and care.Train staff to deliver consistent, high-quality service.Recruit, onboard, and develop retail team members.Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching.Promote a positive, inclusive, and safe work culture.Manage store budgets and day-to-day financials.Analyse sales data and generate reports for owners.Apply cost control measures to enhance efficiency.Coordinate promotions, discounts, and seasonal campaigns.Work with marketing team to deliver in-store and social media activations.Maintain high visual standards in line with brand identity.What Youll BringProven experience in retail management or a similar leadership role.Strong team leadership and people development skills.Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication.A sales-driven mindset with strong attention to detail.Comfortable working with retail tech including POS systems (Lightspeed), Xero, and other hospitality software.Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays.Bonus Points ForA degree in Business, Retail, or related field.Experience in the food, hospitality, or specialty grocery industry.Familiarity with inventory and supply chain management.Competitive salary with performance-based bonuses.Staff discounts on our delicious baked goods.Career progression and professional development opportunities.A supportive and passionate team environment.How to ApplySend your resume and a cover letter outlining your relevant experience to eilish@thecookandbaker.com.au.
