We''re seeking an energetic Principal Recreation Planner to join our dynamic Active Kingston team and help shape the future of sport and recreation in our vibrant municipality.About The RoleReporting to the Team Leader, you''ll play a pivotal role in understanding the sport and recreation needs of the Kingston community to ensure Council responds to these needs in the planning, development and promotion of sport and recreation activities, and spaces. The role will lead the development of strategic plans and policies to align Council''s recreation and community facilities with service demand, ensuring a diverse and accessible range of activities and opportunities that enhance and strengthen community health and wellbeing for the Kingston community.Your Responsibilities Will IncludeUse specialist analytical skills to understand behaviours and motivations related to sport and recreation participation, including community profiling, demographic analysis, and demand forecasting.Apply expert analytical and investigative skills to formulate policy options.Manage innovative strategic planning, including master planning, policy reviews, needs and gap analysis, feasibility assessments, and prioritisation assessments.An Opportunity To ShineWe''re seeking an experienced planner with a passion for community wellbeing and inclusion.
