We act for humanity.About the roleThe Senior Manager, Procurement leads the procurement function and the management of third party supplier spend across Australian Red Cross. Responsible for developing a procurement strategy and influencing senior stakeholders, this role requires strong leadership and coaching skills to lead a diverse procurement team. The Senior Manager requires a deep understanding of all aspects of the procurement life-cycle. Bringing a partnership mindset, you will develop strategic supplier relationships which enhance value, create revenue opportunities and deliver ESG initiatives.What you will do day to dayProvide leadership to the procurement team including the management of resources, stakeholders and prioritiesSupport and uplift of procurement resources including mentoring, coaching and trainingDevelop a comprehensive and data led procurement strategy which includes an opportunity assessment, governance requirements and capability reviewLead the implementation of the procurement policy to ensure that processes are efficient, effective and ethicalConduct strategic sourcing projects such as supplier tenders and strategic negotiationsDevelop strategic supplier relationships which enhance value, improve compliance and deliver ESG initiativesAssess and manage risks associated with supplier relationships, contractual agreements and market dynamics to ensure continuity of supply and ethical practicesWhat you will bringDemonstrated experience in a leadership role within procurement and success in driving results in a fast-paced environmentStrong experience in leading procurement teams and engendering a positive team cultureStrategic analysis skills and the ability transform procurement functionsDemonstrated experience in all aspects of procurement including strategic sourcing, category management and managing internal complianceDemonstrated experience in leading strategic negotiations with suppliersExperience in project management, resource management and the ability to deliver results in a matrix management environmentStrong stakeholder management skills across all levels of the organisationBenefits that act for you, while you act for humanityFinancial wellbeing: In addition to your salary, you can take advantage of salary packaging that could provide you with a great way to reduce the amount of tax you pay - and get more from your salary.
