We promote market integrity and consumer protection, holding violators accountable to achieve strong outcomes that address consumer and investor harms.Role OverviewASIC''s Licensing team seeks a Senior Lawyer to provide legal expertise supporting ASIC''s gatekeeper functions, assessing financial services licenses, consumer credit licenses, and related applications.ResponsibilitiesProvide legal advice on Australian Financial Services and Credit licenses, and auditor registrations.Manage complex license matters, support legal proceedings, and ensure compliance with legal notices and subpoenas.Review legal frameworks, contribute to policy reforms, and mentor team members.Engage with senior stakeholders, regulators, and external parties.Candidate RequirementsBachelor of Laws and current unrestricted practicing certificate.Minimum 6 years post-qualification experience.Strong legal knowledge in financial services.Experience providing complex legal advice and solutions.Excellent communication skills, experience with industry and government engagement.Experience with administrative law and court processes is desirable.BenefitsAttractive superannuationAdditional leave entitlementsHybrid work model (50/50)Flexible work arrangementsSupport for professional developmentVisit ASIC''s website for more details and to apply.
