Job Description:About the RoleAs a Case Manager, you will provide needs-based services to people with work-related injuries and be responsible for:Active management of claims for compensation to deliver appropriate and timely treatment and promote return to work,Ensuring injured workers receive entitlements in accordance with theWorkplace Injury Rehabilitation and Compensation Act2013,Liaising with injured workers, their employers, and treating practitioners to facilitate and support medical management and return to work activities.You will assist and support injured workers'' return to work through person-centred case management to ensure entitlements are made appropriately. Dealing with internal and external stakeholders is crucial for strong and sustainable outcomes.You will undergo4 weeksof theoretical and practical training in workers compensation case management, during which you will learn about:The life cycle of a claimMedical treatment types and appropriate managementPayment of medical expensesWeekly compensation entitlementsReturn to work obligations and facilitating early return to work outcomesThe legal aspects of workers compensationHandling challenging conversationsFurther training over the first12 monthswill expand your knowledge of workplace injury management, return to work planning, dispute resolution, and workers compensation law.Applicants must have:Strong analytical and reasoning skillsAbility to plan and organise work to meet timeframesCapability to work across multiple technology platformsHigh organisational skills and attention to detailExcellent written and interpersonal skills for effective liaising with workers, employers, and medical/legal practitionersAbility to work within a team in an office-based environmentExceptional communication and customer service skillsSensitivity to issues related to people with diverse medical, cultural, and social needsAustralian Citizenship or Permanent ResidencyYou will provide needs-based services to injured workers and be responsible for:Active claims management for appropriate and timely treatment and return to work promotion,Ensuring entitlement compliance with theWorkplace Injury Rehabilitation and Compensation Act2013,Liaising with injured workers, employers, and practitioners to facilitate medical management and return to work activities.About DXCDXC provides policy and claims management services to government and organizations across Australia.
