If you have a few hours to spare each week and would like to help out in our shop, wed love to hear from you!This is a fantastic opportunity to get involved and make a meaningful impact. Our shops play a crucial role in raising funds to support the essential services of Isabel Hospice.As a Retail Assistant, you will support and assist the team in maximising the shop''s income by ensuring the shop floor is fully stocked and properly merchandised, and customers are served efficiently.We ask you to commit to at least one regular half-day weekly session.Available sessions:AM: 9am - 1pmPM: 1pm - 5pmSpecific days:Monday: PMThursday: AMFriday: PMAlternative time slots can be arranged in agreement with the Shop Manager.What youll be doing:Providing the highest standard of service to customersKeeping the shop fully stocked and ensuring items are displayed to show them at their bestOperating tills and taking paymentsEnsuring both stock and cash security procedures are always followedContributing to keeping the shop and premises clean and tidyProviding support and guidance to new volunteers to help them settle into their rolesPromoting understanding of Isabel Hospice''s work and the importance of fundraising through the shopRaising awareness of Gift Aid among customersPromoting and applying the Isabel Hospice Health & Safety PolicyYour skills and abilities:Enjoy working in a team environmentEnjoy working with the publicGood organisational skillsGood customer care skillsSecurity consciousConfident handling cashInterest in display & merchandising skillsBenefits to you:Meet new people and learn new skillsWork with a friendly team and be part of the Isabel familyContribute to patient careReceive comprehensive induction and trainingSupport your career and personal developmentLearn from experienced volunteers and staffAm I eligible to volunteer?We ask that volunteers:Are at least 18 years oldLive within an easy commute to the areaAre interested in volunteering for at least 6 months, for at least 3 hours per weekAll volunteers are assessed individually.
