The candidate will have a keen interest in the Victorian grains industry within the agriculture sector.Position 1: Grains Industry Graduate Officer (Agriculture Victoria ASDS - Biosecurity & Agriculture Services)Location: Bendigo/ Horsham/ BendigoThis position will provide the opportunity to learn valuable skills across a multidisciplinary team and broaden their knowledge in farm business resilience, grains industry extension, research and development, as well as farm business economics, agricultural policy, emergency preparedness and response. This position will work closely with staff across various teams within Agriculture Services and Agriculture Sector Development and will support the development, delivery and reporting of projects related to the grains sector.Working closely with farmers and agriculture industry stakeholders, it applies adult learning principles to extension and service delivery, driving improvements in services, systems, policies, and procedures. The position also involves developing technical expertise and fostering effective communication with project partners, stakeholders, and internal teams.The candidate will be required to relocate to three regional placements between Bendigo and Horsham.To be considered for this position, you must have a qualification in a Bachelor of Science, for example, Agricultural Science, Crop Agronomy and/or Bachelor of Agricultural Science/Agriculture.Position 2: Irrigated Horticulture Services Graduate Officer (Agriculture Victoria ASDS - Biosecurity & Agriculture Services)Location: Tatura/ Mildura (Horticulture)/ Mildura (Irrigation)The Irrigated Horticulture Services Officer provides a unique opportunity for the successful candidate to establish a career that supports production horticulture and works with a team of technical experts to build lasting networks with key industry stakeholders.
