Your Title: Transport Scheduler Job Location: Coffs Harbour, Australia Our Department: Forestry Working Pattern: 8-hour shifts between 6am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. On call from 5pm-6:30pm, Monday to Friday. On call on Sunday from 3pm-6pm. Transition your forestry experience into the world of tech! What You Will Do: Use specialist logistics software to execute and monitor the wood flow plan, ensuring successful outcomes for clients. Coordinate and schedule harvesting contractors and logging trucks to optimize fleet utilization and minimize distribution costs. Monitor and report on production, inventory, and delivery targets. Negotiate with suppliers and customers, and engage in direct communication when issues arise. Support the Regional Manager and foster a positive culture within the operation by leading by example. Skills & Experience: Effective verbal and written communication skills. Problem-solving and time management skills. Flexibility in a changing environment. Curiosity and willingness to learn. Ability to handle challenging work and juggle multiple duties. Strong relationship-building skills with suppliers, customers, and contractors. IT literacy and organizational skills. Preferred Requirements: Knowledge of the forestry industry is a plus. Diploma or Bachelors Degree in a related field is advantageous.
