Our successful harness racing stable is seeking an experienced standardbred trainer. Horse driving experience is essential. Requirements and tasks include:Training and equipping horses with skills and ability for harness racingDriving horses - jogging and trackworkGrooming horsesHandling and halter breaking foals and yearlingsCleaning stablesFeeding management and supplementationCommunicating with drivers and other horse handlersDriving horse float and raceday dutiesManaging health care, nutrition, and the well-being of horses, reporting conditions to owners and/or vetsIdentifying and treating injuriesA minimum of 2 years experience is preferable.
