As our new Service Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out mechanical repairs to valves, actuators, and other flow control equipment, diagnosing faults, and composing digital condition reports based on findings within a workshop team environment.In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Include:Assist Service Technicians and Lead Technicians in diagnosing faults and repairing pneumatic and ELV electro pneumatic valve control systems.Test SRV Manual and Control/Automated valves and pump equipment within the workshop.Carry out small design and fabrication work.Maintain a thorough understanding of maintenance procedures and repair of mechanical and automated valving.Perform workshop practices safely and methodically, ensuring quality outcomes.Follow directions from senior technicians to repair various valve types, PRV, PSV, or control valves.Prepare and clean components accurately and efficiently, applying safe workshop practices.Label and fit nameplates to assorted valves.Manage and complete daily planned activities to meet company and customer requirements.Meet goals set by supervisors to ensure customer satisfaction.Recommend initiatives for cost reduction and technological improvements.Review processes regularly and suggest improvements.Adhere to relevant policies, procedures, and strategies.Develop and maintain effective communication with colleagues.Report work times and follow quality systems and workplace processes.Perform other duties as required, based on skills and capabilities.Maintain physical fitness for manual handling of equipment.Communicate issues and problems clearly.Work reasonable overtime to meet delivery targets.Collaborate with the team to implement OEM service strategies focusing on quality, delivery, and customer satisfaction.Who You AreYou proactively address challenges with a positive attitude, working cooperatively across teams to achieve shared objectives.For This Role, You Will Need:Trade Certificate in Mechanical FittingKnowledge of safety and environmental practicesForklift HRW ticketHRW Dog-man ticketFirst Aid CertificateOur Culture & Commitment to YouAt Emerson, we value every employee, fostering an environment that encourages innovation, collaboration, and diversity.
