Stocktake Assistant - Nth Qld TownsvilleAre you an early bird looking for casual employment? Have you considered working in different locations every day? Do you enjoy working within a team environment?We are seeking motivated individuals to join us as Stocktake Assistants supporting Woolworths & Endeavour business units across North/Central Queensland. The role involves visiting various stores such as Woolworths, Woolworths Metro, Big W, Dan Murphy''s, and BWS to conduct stock counts, which include physically counting items and entering data into a handheld device. The work is physically active and involves being on your feet most of the day.This casual role typically starts at 6:00 AM from Monday to Thursday, with occasional Fridays, totaling approximately 18 hours per week. The team works around 36 weeks annually, with no stocktakes before Christmas or around Easter, although opportunities may arise in supermarkets during these periods. Compensation includes a competitive pay rate, travel allowances, superannuation, and staff discounts. The finish time varies depending on store size, usually between 1:30 PM and 3:00 PM.We provide comprehensive on-the-job training through our dedicated trainers. The role offers travel across Northern/Central Queensland regions, including Gladstone, Cairns, Emerald, and Mackay, requiring approximately 8 nights away per month. Accommodation is twin-share, with meals provided, and transport arranged. Candidates must have a vehicle and a valid license to travel within the Townsville region, from Hermit Park to Rasmussen.Key Responsibilities:Accurately count stock according to company guidelines, targets, and timeframes.Work cooperatively within a team environment.Follow occupational health and safety (OH&S) and food safety policies to ensure a safe environment for all.Candidate Requirements:Effective written and verbal communication skills and sound mathematical ability.Current drivers license and access to a personal vehicle.Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.Ability to perform repetitive tasks and maintain a positive attitude.Availability for flexible casual shifts from Monday to Friday, with early starts and some evening or late shifts.Willingness to travel for up to four nights, with accommodation provided.Effective communication with customers and team members.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Pre-employment physical assessment required.This role offers excellent opportunities for advancement.
