This is a residential role only local residents or those prepared to relocate will be considered. A relocation package is available for suitable applicants.About UsGCS provides cutting-edge communications and control systems to both underground and surface mining operations throughout Western Australia. We specialise in:Mine-site radio communicationsSCADA, control systems, and automationVSAT, microwave and fibre optic networksCCTV, security and AV solutionsWe are not an IT or cloud services company we build and service the physical infrastructure that enables site communications and control systems.About the RoleThis is a field-based, hands-on position ideal for someone who:Comes from an electrical or instrumentation tradeEnjoys building, wiring, and fault-finding in real-world environmentsWants to grow their skills in control systems and communications technologiesKey Responsibilities:Install, commission and service control & communication systemsTroubleshoot and repair fibre, AV, CCTV, radios and SCADA infrastructureBuild, wire, and test equipment enclosuresWork closely with technical and operations teams to deliver reliable solutions on siteYoull Need:Trade background in Electrical, Instrumentation, Electronics or similar (Cert III/IV, diploma, or degree)5+ years relevant hands-on experienceStrong mechanical and electrical aptitude great with tools and wiringACMA Open Cabling License (endorsements preferred)WA Manual Drivers Licence and Police Clearance (or ability to obtain)Comfortable working independently on site with limited supervisionFamiliarity with radio, fibre and SCADA systems is a bonusWhat We Offer:Excellent hourly rate + Site AllowanceRelocation package (conditions apply)Novated leasing optionsGreat team environment & career development supportWhy Kalgoorlie?Tired of FIFO life?
