Apply now to be part of our team.Job summary:Looking for candidates available to work:Monday: MorningTuesday: MorningWednesday: MorningThursday: MorningFriday: MorningSaturday: MorningSunday: Morning2-3 years of relevant work experience required for this roleWork visa will be provided for this roleExpected salary: $28 - $40 per hourThis role reports to: ENGINEERING MANAGER - Engineering & Maintenance Dept.OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:Assist in fabrication of clamps, installation rollers, reels, and winders, as per engineering drawings.Operate workshop equipment i.e., welder, drill press, hand tools, and spray-painting as required.Assist in general plant maintenance and plant upgrades.A Team player.SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:1. SAFETYAll workers are responsible for following health and safety procedures. Failing to do so can result in personal injury.Maintaining work areas Tools and equipment are to be packed away to their appropriate areas.Housekeeping ensure work area is left tidy at the end of each shift.2. HOURS OF WORK:38 Hour work week starting at 7.00 am (negotiable) Mon-Fri. Can finish earlier on Fri (negotiable)Overtime is often available.3. RATE OF PAY:$35 - $40 per hour inclusive of super.4. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:Needs to be mechanically minded and have workshop experience.No specific qualifications required but experience with workshop equipment such as a welding, grinding and steel cutting is essential.Creativity and inventiveness, particularly with plant improvement is an advantage.Lathe and milling machine experience not required, but is a major advantage.5. WORKMANSHIP/QUALITY:Read and follow design drawings.Produce quality work, that will endure harsh treatment in the field.6. COMMUNICATION:Keep Manager informed on a day-to-day basis as to fabrication progress.Attend weekly meetings with Manager and action agreed items.Able to communicate in a courteous and respectful manner to peers and managers.7. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:Carry out other duties as requested by Manager. E.g., Assist in the manufacturing of lay-flat hose.Profile of Suitable ApplicantExperienceSuitable applicant should be an experienced metal work fabricator and ideally have had workshop experience in the manufacturing industry and proven factory upgrades across a wide range of skills/disciplines would be an advantage.
