As a Family Lawyer, you will provide high-quality advice and advocacy in all aspects of family law. We encourage and support our team to engage in community initiatives and organisations, such as volunteering with the Suncoast Community Legal Service, local sports teams, and charities.We love where we live, and have implemented a 4.5 day working week, where our team finish work at 1.00pm on Fridays.Your New RoleAs a family lawyer at Associate or Senior Associate level, your new role will involve:Providing advice and advocacy to clients in all aspects of family law, including property, maintenance, parenting, child support/maintenance, divorce, domestic violence.Running your own caseload of family law matters.Drafting letters and documents to a high standard.Appearing in Court and mediations/conferences.Engages in networking and is interested in building their own profile and reputation as an excellent family lawyer.We have a friendly and growing team of 11 family lawyers and 1 paralegal, and we strongly support close collaboration and support between our solicitors.We also provide extensive administrative support (including typing), with our amazing team of helpful secretaries to assist you in your role.What Youll Bring to the TableWere looking for someone with:4+ years of experience, practising in family law.Confidence in appearing in Court (FCFCOA and Magistrates Court), as well as mediations.Excellent communication skills you''re a listener, a negotiator, and a problem-solver.Experience in preparing pre-separation Financial Agreements (highly regarded, but not essential).Experience in preparing basic wills, estate administration and enduring powers of attorney (highly regarded, but not essential - this is a family lawyer role).A passion for supporting clients in some of their most challenging times.A collaborative and solution-focused approach, with the ability to work effectively within a team.A positive outlook - we are a friendly, helpful and collegiate team who enjoy having fun at work while getting things done.Why Youll Love Working With Us:Competitive salary and phone allowance4.5 day working week think work-life balance, with a side of sunshineTeam spirit We work hard, but we laugh harderProfessional growth Opportunities to develop your skills, take on new challenges, and grow in a firm thats got your backBilling Bonus An achievable target with generous rewardsThe Sunshine Coast Lifestyle:Its not all work and no play we live where others come for a holiday!
