We foster innovation and contemporary methods within our team.Our recent joint venture with Hilton Food Group has driven our growth and global expansion, enabling us to explore new markets and advance in the automation sector.As part of this expansion, we are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead and support our Engineering Team in delivering automation solutions in Sydney or Perth, reporting directly to the Automation & Controls Manager.This role offers an excellent opportunity to be part of a growing business at its foundational stage.Who Are YouYou are eager to lead the design, development, and implementation of automation projects, staying at the forefront of industry advancements.Your Key AttributesExperience in manufacturing automation, including industrial conveyors and material handling solutionsProven skills in motor control systems, both centralized and decentralizedKnowledge of hardwired systems, remote I/O, and industrial networks like Profinet, Profibus, and ASiExperience managing electrical budgets, procurement, and vendor relationsAbility to integrate third-party OEM electrical systems into large-scale solutionsLeadership skills in managing engineering teams, including performance reviews and mentoringStrong understanding of AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 4024.1 standardsCapability to review and interpret technical designsProblem-solving, team building, and decision-making skillsKnowledge of electrical installation methods and practicesAbility to build trusted relationships and interpret project needs effectivelyExcellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work independentlyPositive, engaging attitude with high attention to detail and resilience under pressurePurpose of the RoleThe ideal candidate will lead our Electrical Design Team to develop industry-leading solutions within the Food & Beverage, Intralogistics, and Parcel & Post sectors. Responsibilities include designing electrical systems, selecting hardware, creating diagrams, and ensuring compliance with Australian standards.This role involves:Leading and mentoring the electrical teamCoordinating with other business unitsStakeholder communicationDesigning electrical systems and preparing BOMsManaging project timelines and installation detailsEnsuring standards compliance and overseeing site supportKey Accountabilities & ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with project teams to specify hardware and perform electrical calculationsCoordinate manufacturing and QA of electrical panelsEnsure compliance with relevant standardsTranslate project requirements into detailed designsManage internal testing and oversee subordinate engineersDevelop and improve electrical standards and toolsLead or support EPLAN implementationMonitor team performance and project progressProvide updates to stakeholders and manage budgets and schedulesYour SkillsBachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or recognized Electrician Trade CertificateKnowledge of AS3000 and AS4024.1 standardsExperience with automation and material handling systemsProficiency in AutoCAD Electrical; experience with EPLAN is a plusAbility to work within multidisciplinary project teamsAt AGITOWe are committed to creating better experiences for our customers and colleagues.
