Add expected salary to your profile for insightsElectrical Designer EQL Distribution Design and Subdivision Projects Permanent Full time position (38 hrs)Join our dynamic team at Millwell Services as an Electrical Designer in our Design Office located in Mooloolaba on the stunning Sunshine Coast. We are seeking a qualified and experienced individual to join our team designing Electrical Reticulation for EQL Distribution and Subdivision Projects. In this role, you will have the opportunity to learn and develop your skills, to grow within the team.As an Electrical Designer, you will play a crucial role in liaising with EQL, external contractors, and third parties to create innovative designs for both overhead and underground electrical projects. Your professional manner, positive attitude, and strong ability to communicate will be essential as you coordinate with various stakeholders.The Role and Responsibilities:Execute overhead and underground EQL Distribution Design, adhering to industry standards and best practices.Complete overhead and underground electrical reticulation design for private subdivision projects within Energex and Ergon areas, including LCC, Community Title, and C & I.Develop detailed public lighting designs (Rate 2 & 3) for private subdivision projects within Energex and Ergon areas, demonstrating expertise in lighting principles and specifications.Demonstrate a strong background in the Electrical industry, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of electrical design principles and staying up-to-date with Energex and Ergon Design Standards.Utilize advanced cable drafting experience to interpret and execute plans and specifications with precision and accuracy.Stay well-informed about current legislative requirements and apply this knowledge effectively to ensure compliance and regulatory adherence.Uphold the highest professional standards in all communications and interactions, both internally and with external stakeholders.Skills and experience:AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma.Minimum of 2 years previous employment in the industry.Proficient in use of Electrical AutoCAD.Experience in EQL Distribution Design is preferred.Experience in Electrical design for private subdivisions is preferred.Experience with Voltage drop and tip load calculations.Experience with Perfect Lite or similar streetlight programme preferred.Experience in NBN Pit and Pipe/Pathway Design preferred.Certificate 4 in Power Systems Design or Diploma of ESI preferred.Great time management skills and attention to detail.Electrical Engineer Degree (B.Sc. or equivalent) of great advantage.If you are passionate about electrical design, self-motivated, enjoy working with others, and seek a rewarding career in a thriving company on the Sunshine Coast, we eagerly await your application.
