The commitment to its values will shape its operations and define how they expect to be perceived by their stakeholders.About the Role:The General Manager will be responsible for the administrative establishment and operational management of CBRSS Ltd, which will oversee the establishment of a new ranger program.Duties will include but not be limited to procurement of equipment and supplies, establishment and operation of financial information and human resource systems, development of plans, budgets, policies and procedures, scheduling of ranger work rosters and travel, provision of secretariat services to the Board of CBRSS Ltd, communication and stakeholder relationships.The GM will ensure the programs run efficiently and effectively, providing support to the rangers, while reinforcing the vision for the Aboriginal Traditional Owners governing the program.The position reports to the Board of Directors for CBRSS Ltd.Candidate Requirements. Proven experience in effectively managing service delivery programs, preferably in a not for profit context, and ideally for an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander organisation.Proficiency in using a wide range of IT programs for office administration and management.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Cultural awareness and commitment to the values and goals of the Ranger programDesirable Attributes/Qualifications:.Experience in or supporting remote or field based teams.Certificate III qualifications or higher in a relevant field, such as conversation, ecosystem management or First Nations cultural or land management would be highly regarded.. Readiness to travel from time to time, including to remote parts of Australia in small aircraft.
