As a Deputy Registrar you may assist with the design and implementation of targeted case management strategies for particular caseloads, lead or contribute to national quality improvement projects, or where appropriate, manage the workloads and performance of other registrars.The Registrars team is responsible for managing applications for review (cases) from lodgement through to finalisation, or readiness for hearing by Tribunal members. Registrars at various APS levels exercise functions or powers related to the management of cases as authorised by the President of the Tribunal or the ART Act.About you:Successful candidates are expected to have the ability to undertake pre-constitution functions related to management of cases including conducting Tribunal case events and implementing effective case management strategies.The ability to develop and maintain productive relationships with stakeholders, including liaison with parties to ensure efficient progression of cases will also be highly regarded.To be successful you will have:Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities for improvement and to promote a positive approach to dealing with uncertainty and ambiguity during substantial organisational change.Strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate information clearly, make persuasive recommendations, and adapt to the needs of different audiences.Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and analytical and problem solving skills, including the ability to interpret and apply legislation.Proven capacity to deliver results and effective outcomes, develop creative solutions and to manage risks appropriately.Demonstrated capacity to establish and maintain productive relationships with a variety of stakeholders, and work collaboratively to achieve outcomes and negotiate successfully.Demonstrated knowledge and understanding, or the ability to quickly acquire knowledge and understanding of the Tribunals legislative and policy context, particularly in relation to the delivery of case management services to diverse users.Willingness and ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance if requiredA degree from a university, or an educational qualification of a similar standing, in the field of law, orAn educational qualification, or training and experience, related to dispute resolution, orExperience related to one or more functions or powers of the TribunalAccreditation as a mediator under the National Mediator Accreditation System, or equivalent experience in conducting resolution processes in a high-volume dispute or complaint setting.More information about this position, the scope of the role, duties and required capabilities and experience, is contained within the Position Description, which is linked below and available on our Career Opportunities page.How to apply:To be considered, all applications must be submitted online via the Career Opportunities page.
