We are proud to offer competitive benefits and industry pay as well as the opportunity for career advancement to all our team members.Position: Pharmacist - 2nd ShiftOverviewThe Pharmacist is responsible for the day-to-day operational duties associated with dispensing prescription medication in a long-term/post-acute care pharmacy. The Pharmacist must adhere to quality and customer service standards, policies, procedures, and comply with State and Federal guidelines.ResponsibilitiesVerify the completeness and accuracy of all new and refill labels and orders. Check medication packaging and labeling, including emergency drug kits and IV medications.Maintain resident database with current and past medical history, clinical data, and medication records.Assist in ordering, handling, receiving, documenting, and storing controlled substances; maintain perpetual inventory for schedule II drugs.Work with pharmacy technician to reconcile controlled substances inventory for compliance.Provide clinical expertise by responding to drug-related questions from staff and customers.Document communication with healthcare providers and patients in medical records.Supervise the preparation of sterile IV drug products or solutions.Provide coverage during evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.Follow all government regulations including HIPAA.Perform other duties as assigned, based on business needs.QualificationsActive Pharmacist license in good standing in the state of practice.Management experience preferred.Bachelor''s degree or PharmD from an accredited school.Accurate and efficient prescription dispensing skills.Flexible working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.Experience with FrameworkLTC, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.Minimum 2 years recent experience in an acute-care setting or 1 year as a production pharmacist preferred.Knowledge of intravenous therapy and admixtures is desirable.Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and in a team, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks.Physical DemandsSitting or standing for 7-10 hours daily.Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, bending, crouching, walking, crawling.Extended hours may be required.May lift/move up to 50 pounds.Holiday & PTO Policy6 paid holidays, 5 sick days annually.Up to 10 PTO days per year, with rollover and milestone bonuses.Option to cash out PTO hours quarterly.Benefits for Full-time EmployeesMedical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance.401K plan.Disability insurance, Tuition reimbursement.PTO, Competitive pay, Career growth opportunities.Annual flu vaccines, Employee referral bonuses.Additional DetailsSeniority level: Entry levelEmployment type: Part-timeJob function: Healthcare ProviderIndustries: Pharmaceutical Manufacturing #J-18808-Ljbffr
