We''re here to Stride.About the service:The Medicare Mental Health Services are free, with no need for an appointment, referral, or Medicare card to visit a Medicare Mental Health Centre. New services in Launceston, Devonport, Burnie, and Outer Hobart are co-funded by the Australian and Tasmanian Governments, providing a streamlined approach to support better mental health and social wellbeing across the country.The service is tailored to Tasmanias community needs, offering a combination of peer-led recovery and clinical support.The Medicare Mental Health Centre provides a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment for individuals experiencing psychological distress, enabling them to:Identify alternatives to presenting to the Emergency DepartmentAccess support from trained mental health professionals within their communityOfferings:Based in Launceston, TASSalary Packaging options (up to $15,899 tax-free!)Meals and entertainment allowance of up to $2,650Leave loading at 17.5%Stride Rewards discounts from hundreds of retailers (fashion, food, fitness)One paid wellbeing leave day per yearOption to purchase up to 5 additional leave days annually (pro-rata for part-time)Paid parental leave supportSupportive team environmentExcellent training and career development opportunitiesRelocation assistance is negotiable for suitable candidates.Role Overview:The Clinical Area Manager is a key member of Strides management team, responsible for leading and managing the MMHC TAS teams, including:Leading and developing a multidisciplinary team to provide primary care and support for all service users in TasmaniaOverseeing clinical, financial, administrative systems, and billing processesEnsuring continuous quality improvement and risk management within the teamsFacilitating Clinical Governance Committee and subcommittee meetingsRequirements:Full AHPRA registration as a Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, or Mental Health Nurse, or AASW registration as an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker (or working towards)At least 2 years experience managing a mental health serviceExperience working within a recovery-based modelProven expertise in managing a multidisciplinary service delivery team, including care coordination for complex needs and stakeholder engagementStrong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, families, community agencies, and professionalsAbility to meet deadlines in a high-demand environment, exercising judgment and initiativeExcellent organizational and time management skillsEligibility to apply or current WWCCWillingness to apply for NDIS worker screening clearanceValid Drivers LicenseStride is committed to safeguarding children and vulnerable people.
