We are a proven leader in sustainability, supporting diversity and inclusion, and offering flexible workplace arrangements.About the Opportunity:We are seeking a Facilities Manager or Assets Manager responsible for the day-to-day management of properties on behalf of the South Australian Government. The public assets include, but are not limited to, schools, hospitals, courts, and police stations, with responsibilities including managing breakdowns, maintenance, preventative maintenance, and small project management.This role is based in Port Lincoln and is a permanent full-time position.Key Duties include, but are not limited to:Identify risks and opportunities related to maintenance and capital works, developing plans to achieve targets and optimize lifecycle costs.Support the Property Asset Management team''s strategic and asset planning initiatives.Analyze call-outs and maintenance requests to inform asset maintenance and preventative schedules.Serve as the first point of contact for technical, facilities management, and asset maintenance issues.Monitor contractor performance and ensure contracts are executed within scope and budget.Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.Assist with audits and inspections.Build and maintain relationships with agencies, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants.Monitor and report on subcontracted work delivery and performance.Maintain records and reporting to support proactive subcontractor performance management.Who Should Apply - Skills and Qualifications:Experience or interest in transitioning from industries such as local government, asset management, field service, project engineering, facility management, property management, real estate, development, or leasing.Demonstrated experience in facilities management.Trade background is not necessary but must demonstrate property maintenance and management skills.Project management qualification or relevant experience.Current driver''s license required.Culture:As a values-driven organization, Ventia prides itself on its engaged workforce.
