You could be one of our 2,500 committed team members who are up to the challenge.About the roleReporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, our new Head of Payroll oversees and manages all of V/Lines payroll operations.As our new Head of Payroll, youll play a crucial role in the ongoing operations at V/Line as we go through a transformative period throughout the organisation.You will oversee the accurate and timely payroll processing in accordance with appropriate regulations, legislation, V/Line policies, and Enterprise Agreements.The successful candidate will provide leadership to the payroll function, mentor team members, provide specialist advice, guide best practices, and deliver superior customer service to employees and management.About youOur ideal candidate will possess the following:Must have 5+ years experience in Head of Payroll / Payroll Managerial positions within Enterprise Agreement industries (e.g., Electricity, Gas, Water, Waste Services, Construction, Transport, Warehouse).Established experience leading, coaching, and upskilling Payroll teams of at least 6 people.Proven experience leading Payroll functions with workforces of 1,000+ employees.Expert stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills, with proven ability to resolve conflict.Demonstrated experience utilising ADP PayForce software.Proven experience working on large transformation projects.Proven experience with MS Suite Excel, Word, Access (desirable).Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Finance, HR, or equivalent (desirable).Exposure to time and attendance systems (desirable).Remuneration for this position is commensurate with the successful candidates skills and experience.In addition to free Myki travel, we offer:Community impact Make a genuine difference.
