The Security Screener will work with highly intelligent x-ray software to inspect items, determine whether items contain objects that warrant further investigation, and alert baggage screeners or handlers to any possible problems.ResponsibilitiesInspect items using x-ray viewing equipment to determine whether they contain objects warranting further investigation.View images of bags and cargo with remote screening equipment, alerting personnel to potential issues.Communicate situation details to appropriate personnel.Notify supervisors or relevant staff when security breaches occur.Send items through automated screening machines, and set bags aside for searching or rescreening as indicated.Identify potential hazards through inspection.Record information about baggage that triggers alarms or contains suspicious objects.Discuss objects of concern with leads or supervisors, especially if not on prohibited lists.Perform patrols, access control, and other security functions as needed.Bonus Qualifications (not Required)High school diploma or equivalent (GED).Security screening experience, preferably with x-ray technology (e.g., TSA).Strong work ethic and exceptional attention to detail.Ability to self-manage and communicate effectively.Preferred QualificationsMilitary or law enforcement experience (e.g., Military Police, Elite Forces).Graduate of a Public Safety Academy or relevant work experience in law enforcement, corrections, or firefighting.Bachelors degree in law enforcement or criminal justice.8+ years of military service or higher education in related fields.BenefitsMedical, dental, vision, life, AD&D, and disability insurance.401(k) plan eligibility.Paid holidays and vacation benefits.ClosingAllied Universal is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
